diamond earringsMy parents recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. They have a wild story of how they came to be. Within a few months of meeting each other in college, they fell in love. My dad was in his mid-twenties and my mom was just a sophomore. Within a year, they were married and within another year they had me. Times were tight for them as they would be for any young parents but they made it happen. My mom moved away from the state school right after graduation after my dad took a new job. Her friends and I’m sure his friends could not believe it. I can’t. I’m about the age now when they got married. That seems insane.

It worked and for their 25th anniversary, my dad bought her sparkling diamond earrings. I recently showed mom how to send picture messages so she sent a shot of the diamond earrings to me. Dad did good on this one. My mom loves the diamond earrings. I wonder if the next 25 years will fly by so fast.
